The work process
Nothing is left to chance when we at Bjørnefabrikken make our bears. The work process can be described as a process of six stages.
Irregularities are cut form the wild sheepskins and the patterns are drawn using templates.
The skin is cut.
The skin is rear face sewn using a heavy duty sewing machine and then turned right side around.
The teddy bear begins to take shape and is hard stuffed with sheep wool to achieve the old-fashioned teddy bear feeling. Jølleharen has a slightly softer stuffing.
The eyes are attached using a patented button system which gives a very secure attachment.
The nose is sewn using wool thread and the teddy bear finally is clipped, thoroughly vacuum cleaned so that it is ready to meet a new friend.
